Students in our program gained considerable experience using field sampling equipment and techniques as well as state-of-the-art laboratory instrumentation, that provides you with that competitive edge. I’ve been able to walk into interviews, and tell people that I’ve built an underflow dam, that I’ve patched a chlorine tank, that I’ve dressed up, and it hazmat suit, and those are all things that I do in my current job Our laboratories are equipped with the same instrumentation that you would find at Federal agencies or private firms throughout the country. Upon completion of your degree You may elect to transfer to a four-year baccalaureate program. The pathway to my career began at Zane State College. I was able to finish my two-year program move on to get a baccalaureate degree Two days after I graduated with my baccalaureate degree, I started a full-time job at the Ohio EPA. The hands-on experience, and the certifications that I was able to receive while I was in the Environmental Program set me up for success in my professional career.
